I am an organic gardening, homeschooling, full time stay at home Mom.No, I'm not one of those homeschoolers,I am this kind of homeschooler.Yes, a lefty liberal from New Jersey..go figure. ;-)I have been with my husband for 28 years and we have one daughter who will soon be a decade old! We all belong to a cat named Alley who believes herself to be our oldest child, and we also have a cat named Pumpkin, and Hermit Crabs.
We love reading, music, thrift stores and estate and yard sales, arts and crafts, cooking and baking.
We try to live as gently as we can on the planet.
We had a little Hanukkah celebration with some of our homeschool friends today.
Our contribution was the Sufganiot. Princess read me the recipe, I did the cooking.
They were not too bad for my first try.
Ollie was hoping at least one of the five kids would drop something for him.
My homeschool buddies and I are all posting pics of
our "home schools" as part of our idea sharing.

Knowledge which is acquired under compulsion has no hold on the mind. Therefore do not use compulsion, but let early education be a sort of amusement; you will then be better able to discover the child's natural bent .
