The Unplug Your Kids group project theme for today is RED. Here is what we did. I gave Princess this block of RED modeling clayAnd I let her do whatever she wanted with it......
She played around with just the red for a bit, then I pulled out the other colors. It must have been an hour of "quiet".

Quiet, how nice. :) I like your presentation of the project. Great idea/
What a wonderful idea! I love her little person, very creative.
Isn't it amazing how something as simple as modeling clay can give one an hour of peace? I like to keep some in my purse in a plastic Easter egg to pull out for entertainment emergencies away from home.
Thanks for joining us and I look forward to seeing what Princess comes up with next week for "Box!"
Wow! An hour!! I know that was nice. She did a great job. (BTW, I love her curly hair - so pretty!) My 5 year old would have probably made train tracks with the clay - he has a one "tracked" mind. haha! Thanks for sharing your "red". Becky
She used my favorite: spirals. So naturally I love it. Spirals on top of spirals. Spirals are huge in religion and mythology and legends. She is responding to her inner mathematician.
My homeschool buddies and I are all posting pics of
our "home schools" as part of our idea sharing.

Knowledge which is acquired under compulsion has no hold on the mind. Therefore do not use compulsion, but let early education be a sort of amusement; you will then be better able to discover the child's natural bent .

What a great idea to just give her the lump of clay! And an hour of quiet? What a successful project! :o)

I like the spirals - they remind me of an artisan basket.
